Single storey rear extension with spiral wine cellar to a terraced house. Due to local authority planning restrictions, the height on the boundary was very restricted, requiring careful and challenging interior planning of the new kitchen. Alice Poole designed the kitchen with shaker style units inset within polished concrete worktops and framing. An industrial theme followed through the design with exposed concrete lintols externally and fairface brickwork internally. Structural glazing was used on vertical, horizontal and sloping surfaces to bring in as much light as possible.
