Most projects involve the addition of an extension to a property.  Due to planning and site restrictions these are normally at the back of houses where the house is opened up on to the garden which, in turn, acts as an extension of the house.  The spaces created are usually family/kitchen/living areas which now form the nucleus of family life.  Stylistically the design of extensions varies according to preference and/or planning requirements.  Extensions can be seen to be separate from the rest of the house and therefore can be modern or traditional in appearance.  Other extensions include side extensions for utility/cloakroom/storage areas, basement extensions for use as gyms/cinema room/wine cellars and also loft extensions and conversions.
